Tastes like Spring Asparagus
Equipment
- oven with broil function
- measuring spoons
- Baking sheet
- frying pan (optional)
Ingredients
Asparagus
- 1 bunch asparagus (about 1 lb) trim ends (I like to snap them instead of cut them)
- 1 tbsp oil I like to use canola oil because of the high smoke point but you can use whatever you prefer
For Drizzle
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp white wine vinegar
- 2 tsp oil
- 1/2 tsp honey
- 1/4 tsp minced garlic or 1/8 tsp dried minced garlic
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Set oven to broil
- Snap ends off of asparagus
- Mix asparagus with 1 tbsp oil
- Spread out asparagus on baking sheet in a single layer
- Broil in oven for about 4-6 minutes until slightly charred
- Mix lemon juice, white wine vinegar, 2 tsp oil, honey, garlic, salt, and pepper together to make drizzle
- When asparagus is done, transfer to a plate or serving dish
- Pour drizzle over top of asparagus
- To make it look even more impressive, toast some slivered or sliced almonds in a dry frying pan and sprinkle on top
