Beet Strings

Spiralized beets, sauteed and finished with a dressing


  • spiralizer or grater
  • frying pan
  • serving dish (optional)


  • 8 small-medium beets amount is flexible
  • 1 tbsp oil I used canola oil but any high temp oil is great
  • 2 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp whole grain mustard
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • parsley for garnish


  • Peel beets and spiralize or grate using largest holes
  • Heat frying pan on medium heat, add oil
  • Add beets to frying pan and cook about 10 minutes until soft (not mushy)
  • Transfer beets to serving dish (optional)
  • Mix together red wine vinegar, maple syrup, mustard and salt and pepper
  • Pour over beets
  • Garnish with parsley (if desirable)
  • Enjoy!
